chaukah 2009

Its been a while since I wrote on Judah's blog. Not that he isn't on my mind 24/7, the fingers did not hit the key board in a meaningful way. A lot has happened. Ezekiel, the young man from Tanzania who is studying to become a doctor came to visit. Ezekiel will make a fine doctor just as Judah and Seymour were. He knows that his scholarship is in memory of Judah, and he calls him his spiritual brother. Alissa. Benji and I went to Yosemite National Park with him.

Monty continues to bring some laughter into the house with his antics, especially when he steals a whole chala off the counter and will not give it up. I swear he smiles at me and enjoys the chase.

Judah loved all the holidays. I can see him as a young boy lighting the candles and soaking up the stories of Judah the Maccabee. He was proud of his name. I miss his off key, off rhythm method of singing the songs, I can get through the rituals without crying, but the aching remains. His sweet temperment, even when grumpy was a joy.

Speaking of joy, I'd love to hear from you. If you want to send a private e mail send it to ivorytrust@aol.com.
Wishing every one a season of light and joy.
