Sleeping Beauty

Judah's sleeping right now. Was sleeping that is. All of a sudden a group of annoying singers in the hallway started singing America the Beautiful. Judah woke with a start and started yelling, No, No music, g-dammit! In less time that it takes you to read this, he reached for his Ipod (thanks Josh), his headphones and drowned out the jingoistic madrigals. I was afraid it was the house staff. Don't they know that people are trying to sleep here? Andyhoo, the singing crisis is now over and Judah equated the do-gooder singing with second-hand smoke. Oh shit! Here they come again. When Johnny Comes Marching Home Again. This is really too too much. Now it's A Grand Old Flag. Poor Judah. It's like being stuck at a Rush Limbaugh convention.
For those of you who have asked about the address here, you can send Judah cards and letters to Judah White, BMT Unit Room 712, City Of Hope, Guest Services, 1500 E. Duarte Rd., Duarte CA 91010. We promise to hang them on his bulletin board.

Hi Judah,
Must say that I've learned so much more about you, my nephew, since Issy designed this blog. I've learned that you can be crabby, that you like to splash with naked babes in a dinosaur pool, have a friend named Kitty Nipples, kissed a girl underwater when you were very young & know a gorgous therapist from Flatbush.
I've also learned that no matter what the challenges, you are a fighter who won't stay down. Judah, you are a source of strength and inspiration to us all.
Love, Aunt Marsha

Dear JUdah,

Finally at a computer at cousins who invited me to lunch and the first thing I want to do is find out how Judah is doing in LA.
Was at gush katif yesterday to see the area before it is turned over, it is painful, and I can see ourselves here crying and knowing that turning it over is the right thing to do. So many people will be displaced, a beautiful area turned over to others. But then it was also painful to see the arabs in their refugee camp. I am told they did not want to move out of their camp, it is a good PR deal for them. Will share more with you when I return, shuold you be interested. They are telling me the food is cold now (who cares), but I shall go.
Judah, you are the most wonderful of people, a source of pride and koach.

Much love to all, Rachel

Hi Judah:

Have you seen the new issue of Newsweek? I don't know whether you're interested in reading about medicine and medical progress in a layman's magazine, or in any magazine for that matter, but if you don't mind reading a watered down description of some of the new technologies you may find the issue interesting.

Why don't you like America the Beautiful and Grand Old Flag??? ;-)

Thinking of you,

Zehava

Top o' the mornin to ya Judah! Trust me, you'll be begging for another rendition of It's a Grand Ol Flag when I come singing the Notre Dame fight song. Keep up the good fight. We're all cheering for you.
