Dear the Whites,

I worked with Judah during his training at Huntington. I knew from the moment I met him that he was a great man and feel privileged I was able to spend time with him. He mannerisms were that entirely of a softspoken, intelligent, caring physician. That is how I will always remember him.

Dear Martha, Ben and Izzy,

Please accept my deepest and sincerest sympathies. I am so saddened by the news, still I cannot, and will never, think of Judah without feeling a sense of happiness for having known him and for all I lived with him.
He will foerever be a well loved friend.

I greatly apologize for not contacting you sooner, but I just returned from research in Mexico this past Friday and am afraid I will not be able to make his services on Monday. If I can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.

With much love,

Dear Martha, we have not enough words to express the pain we feel.

I don't know how to support you because I know that to loss a son is to cut a part of you…

I wish that god will give you the strength to bear the terrible pain.

You must be strong, first of all for yourself, for your lovely children and for your father, for the whole family and your friends.

Yours with love,
Cipora, Baruch, Yael, Batia and Gal

Hi. My name is Brenda Goldstein. I went to high school with Judah. I would like to attend his funeral but I won't have access to a car. If anyone could give me a ride, I would be more than happy to share the cost of gas. I live near Pico & Olympic in Los Angeles. My email address is lioness31@comcast.net.

Dear White Family,
I will always remember Judah as a man who cared most for those who needed the most care but were difficult to care for. He was at his finest with the most complicated patients and always maintained his composure and wonderful sense of humor. The world of medicine is certainly poorer for his loss. There are too few pure hearts like his in this world.

Dear all,

We would like to make sure we have at least 10 people for the morning service at 7:00 AM Tue-Friday and then on Sun (I assume at a later hour) at the Whites’ house. We would appreciate it if you write back informing us which morning/s best fit your schedule. You can commit to one morning or all according to your ability. We need a head count in advance (you can reply also to my email at ealshech@princeton.edu).
I would like to remind you that without 10 people attending the service the family would not be able to recite the required Kaddish prayer to elevate the soul of Judah Z”l.

God bless you all

Eli

Dear White Family,
Please accept my deepest sympathies. I just learned of his passing and was unable to attend his funeral. I too had the privilege of knowing Judah as a caring and compassionate doctor, and a friend. The world is a sadder place without his smile. He has touched many and will be missed. He would keep photos of all the patients he followed in his clinic and place them in the inside cover of their medical charts. He felt more connected to his patients this way. They were never just a name or number in a chart, they were his patients. I will remember him always and strive to maintain his ideals as I go on to care for others. That is his gift to me.
A friend and college,

Hi there,
My sincerest Condolensces. I am a friend of David Smith's, friend of your family. I was actually once scheduled to come and visit Judah when you were screening donors, and unfortunately, could not make it that evening. I could not make it then, but it would be an honor to visit the shiva house and bring the family some warm words of comfort and perhaps a kosher treat. What is the address and when are the best times to visit? Barb Heller

Dear White Family,

We would like to express our deepest sympathies on the loss of Judah, our friend. We, Shraga Schreck and Joseph Abrams, met Judah at and through the Brandeis Bardin Institute way back in August 1989, and subsequently when he was in Israel studying medicine. At BCI Judah slept in the bed above me (Shraga) and we shared many conversations and good times together and I felt that I had made a friend in Judah.

When he came to Israel we met during holidays and at family gatherings. Since he knew that I enjoy doing magic tricks for my daughters, Judah brought once a present of magic book and tricks in order to widen my abilities and my daughters' fun. I still have the book and the girls know it as "The magic book of Judah".

Judah was at our law firm (we are partners here in Tel Aviv) and we had long discussions about his amazing change from lawyer to doctor. After he completed his studies in Israel and returned to the U.S., as things go, we weren't in contact as such, however Judah would often come up in conversations we had about old friends from BCI enjoying good thoughts about him.

We learned of Judah's condition only about 2 weeks ago by chance when a connection of mine (Joseph) from Los Angeles came to our office and during the conversation, BCI was mentioned (of course)and names of past participants came up.

We feel very saddened and want to express to you what others have already written in this site, that Judah was a very very special person who will be much missed.
May G-d compfort you amongst the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

Joseph Abrams,
