For the Price of a Stamp...

Dear Friends,
If you have time, please send Judah a note, a letter or a card. His spirits sometimes wane and nothing cheers one up like mail from the outside world.
The address is:
Judah White, BMT Unit, City Of Hope, Guest Services, 1500 E. Duarte Rd., Duarte CA 91010
PS, don't tell him I said so. We read him the comments, but not the blog.

Hi Judah and Family -
I thought I was the only person awake in Cheviot Hills at 2:00 am.
Good to see the progress you are making Judah.
Thanks to Issy and Benjie for allowing all of us to keep watch over you without having to bother Martha to have to repeat the same news over and over
Love, Stella

Dear All,
Jello, gaterade...does not qualify as eating? As you know Judah I always did focus too much on food.
I am trying to organize my life as always and came across a photo of you and this gorgeous woman...I have to bring this photo for your room.
We all love you and pray for you and think of you much. At work I tried to them about Les and your grandfather talking to the nurse about your sponge bath. Everyone laughed much because I was not telling the story right. Therefore, you need to tell me the story again so that I can tape it properly.
much love, the schweitzers

Good morning, Dr. White, honey,

I know you are interested in what other people are doing - so here is a typical day. Wake up, check the Judah Daniel website, get dressed, subway to Brooklyn, get to work, check the blog, recruit patients, check the blog, do data base housekeeping, check the blog, get on subway, stop at the Bagel Cafe (glatt, better bagels than H&H, and amazing soup except for mushroom & barley), get home and check the blog, fix dinner (that soup into the microwave), check the blog, eat, shoulder PT for 1 hour, check the blog, and hit the sack. Next, more exciting details re: that PT.

Love, Mrs. C.

Jadah,

Good to hear you started with Jello. I like it with whipped cream. I really like almost everything with whipped cream.

I am over at Linda's now and Blake is barking because Linda's dog Emma will not play with him. It is very hard to speak on the phone when the dogs are barking.

We have 43 more days before the wedding.

Have a good day.
Love you very much.

MMMMMMMMMMM Jello,
If you can arrange to have your favorite animal shapes in Jello that may encourage you to eat more. I see that Aviv is trying to get falafel for you. I recommend 5 sheck falafel from Einstein Head Caffeteria. But I imagine it is more like 10 sheck by now. either way it's on us. As for Gatorade. Maybe you can get a sponsor. Cool hats and shirts and stuff. Again, we could make the call. Glad to read that your recovery is coming along. It's 105 degrees in the Valley (why did we leave NYC?) Take care.

Judah,

Flirting with the nurses? Shocking. It must be the jello & gatoraide.

But getting back to your love of movies with sophomoric humor (Anchor Man, etc), just saw Wedding Crashers. I think you'd like it. We'll have to get Josh's review.

Talk to you later.

Mike

Judah,
Forget the jello. It's not good unless you have whipped cream on it. How about some ice cream with some yummy chocolate syrup? That should slide down real easy.
Love,
Aunt Marsha

Jello and a cookie and juice for dinner? Where are the days when we all would have done anything to have our moms offer up such a menu? I'm guessing that after COH you probably won't want to see jello ever again. Gone are the days when a jiggling glob of fluorescent orange jello held the promise of a few minutes of heaven. Oh well.

We went camping this past weekend--back to Angeles Crest Nat'l Park. Three days, two nights in a luxury tent in a beautiful but mosquito-infested forest. It was great. The hiking gave us a workout, the stream was clear, the company (just the 4 of us) was terrific, the timelessness, peacefulness and quiet were good for our souls. When we got home Yotan asked why we can't just live at camping. Sometimes I ask myself the same thing...

We think of you often.

Love, ZZ
