Hi Judah,
Reading about the change in taste buds brought to mind the feeding therapy I do on daily basis with all of the post transplant pediatric patients at UCLA. They seem to like the tangy, spicy, and saltier foods because they seem to re-alert those taste buds, more so than sweet flavors. Am not sure what your diet restrictions might be at the moment, but trying some tangy lemon yogurt, lemon popsicles (good ones at Trader Joes), or salty/spicy Doritos could do the trick! Licking the salt off of crackers might also be a good alerting remedy.
Feel free to get in touch if ya need a true list of foods that can bring your taste buds back to a more normal state. Can send it over anytime.
Glad to hear you're enjoying all the trashy movies! Those script writers really know good soup for the soul :-)!
Big hugs to all,
Coco

Judah,

Maybe some of Martha's homemade chicken soup will help. There is nothing like Mother's home cooking.

Jason Wolf had a stomach bypass on tuesday. He knows what you are going through. He can't eat either. Maybe today he could get some water.

Have a good day.

Hi Judah and White Family! It's so great hearing all the progress Judah is making. I'm really happy for you all. And the photographs are great too. Thanks for keeping us all in the loop. I'm thinking about all of you often and sending you lots of love and healing energy. Did you talk to the hypnotherapist yet? She's really amazing!

Much love,
Jen Manley (Siegel)

Dear endearingly grumpy Judah,
Given that it takes will and energy to emote, period, hearing about your endearing grumpiness is a positive sign. As for the eating issues, red jello is one of the most overrated foods in the universe. Even Pixie probably wouldn't eat it. Perhaps you should try caviar instead?!

Tongue planted firmly in cheek.

Your friend,
Andrea

Eifo Hever.....

Judah's taste in food is actually pretty decent from what I remember from school. As far as the movies, I think we can agree that anything that involves visuals of implanted silicone keeps him happy. It might even improve his appetite... heh...

As far as Indy, I told him about the blog. Hopefully he will defend his good name. And the thought of little Hever's running around LaLa town is just as scary.

Rubenstein is doing well and no longer getting lost in the hospital, I am happy to say!

We love ya Judah and if you can think of anything you will want from NYC in august let us know... frozen cheesecake, 2nd ave deli sandwiches, etc...

Dr. White, honey,

It is too damned hot and muggy to think of anything original or clever to say. This afternoon I had a crew in to try to clean up some of the dust so at least our bedroom is habitable. It has been almost 4 months of living in two rooms w/ two cats. Needless to say, the contractors did not finish, but we fired them so we are free to move about. When it is finished we will be spacious and spread out - as much room as our LA house.

The reason for all of the above? We have considered and consulted and newly appreciate that the mix of lawyer and doctor makes you absolutely irresistable to an Upper West Side woman. You have always been welcome, but now you will be both welcome and comfortable. I can provide references.

Our thoughts and prayers are always with you. Shabbat Shalom to you and MarthaWhite, Alissa, and Benji.

Much much love, Mrs. C.
