First Report Revised (slightly)

Judah slept well. I overheard the nurse an the RT talking this morning, and Judah's oxygen levels were lowered on the ventilator last night and he did well. She tried to suction his lungs and found nothing in there to suck up. His blood sugar is well under control, with the lowest overnight reading he's had in months. His blood gasses were relatively good compared to previous ones. His creatinine levels (indicators of kidney function) are still slightly elevated but are lower than they were yesterday. There is still an issue with his fluid retention that will have to be addressed by his nephrologist. Will give official report when the doctors see him.

What a great report to wake up to! Thanks so much for being so dedicated to the play-by-play. And by the way, you all should know that even those of us that don't write so often are charter members of the "My name is Bill W. and I'm a blogaholic" club (we, for example, are a minimum 3-check per day family).

Our continued love, healing prayers, and deep appreciation,
"Sharon S." and family

Sorry been away for a while, but read up on every event I missed. Had to run to a town called Batumi, on the Black Sea, to watch Russian tanks being prepared for their return back to Russia--all a part of Georgia kicking Russia out of its territory following the collapse of the Soviet Union. Quite an experience.

Wrote an article on South Ossetia. A high level State Dept official wants to meet me to discuss my ideas for conflict resolution. Very exciting. Glad to see someone is reading my work.

Thinking of you always. Tell everyone about you and the blog. Showed my interpreter the photos. She was impressed by all.

Reading everything at once, it appears that Judah is gradually improving. This is inspiring. I am constantly amazed by the schedule the entire White family, Pixie included, is keeping. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Look forward to seeing greater improvements for myself in September.

Much love, Shiksa

Dearest Whites,
You are completely beyond amazing in your spirit, resilience, devotion, loyalty and indefatigable energy. I have great faith that Judah's football team can overcome Murphy's football team in the long haul. Remember, Lance Armstrong never starts out in the lead but always wins.
