Preliminary early am report

Lights are up, nurses begin their early morning routine of washing patients, drawing bloods in order to prepare for the day shift. Quiet of the night is over. Alarms beep, and today, there are several children on the floor who began to cry.

Judah spent an uneventful night, his stats remained stable, no change. Thank G-d for another day. When the nurses finish we will sing Modeh Ani to Judah, watch the sun rise and hope for a better day.

Boker Tov, good morning

M

Today, I asked the Gabbai of Cong. Adath Israel in Toronto to make a misha berak in Canadian for YDBM. I think there's power in the great white north. Hoping you guys and the Mac have a good day and a great week. --Joe

it was nice to see you all this weekend, even though it was short. no flying skateboards on the ride home, just an orthodox mother and daughter, avigail, who said t'filat ha'derech over and over whenever we hit turbulance. while they prayed, i sang b'shana ha'baha over and over in my head (well, in between episodes of monk and news about the hurricane - gotta love jetblue.)

love,
aud

What does Boker Tov mean? Learning a new language as I read these notes of love and comfort.

In the midst of packing (we are moving tomorrow) I came across a note Judah had left for me. It is dated November 10, 2000: Judah was in NYC visiting friends and he passed by my building. The note reads "Hey Karen, Was wandering the streets of Manhattan & happened to pass this way; looked up & realized this was your home. So stopped by. Sorry you're out but hope all is well and maybe I'll see you next month when I'm back. Judah."
We ended up going to a Knicks game the next day and having a great time. I look forward to more happy occasions with Judah.
Love, Karen
