Passover 2012

Passover hit especially hard this year.  The missing of Judah only goes on, Seymour's voice and long explanations at the seder table are silent.  I continue in the tradition, trying new things, but there still is the blast of cold air of the missing.  We all acknowledge those we lost at the table and then go with some semblance of joy in the fact that we are still here and able to continue in their memory.
Some good news my great nephew was born and was given his Hebrew name of Abraham, after my father. That feels good to realize the continuity of name and hopefully  of memory.  Also wonderful, was the fact that Rabbi Josh Katzan officiated at his bris.  Seeing Josh as Rabbi, as a leader and always as a warm human being  brings me to realize that a small part of Judah continues.  Some of Judah's friends have sent e mails saying that in his short life Judah was much of an influence on them.  This week Cindy C. will meet me for dinner and talking.
I know that some of you are still reading the blog and of course I would love to hear from you.
